Etchingham/Marsden/Ashgate Road, Eastbourne - Carriageway Patching
What works are taking place?
We will be carrying out carriageway patching works on Etchingham Road/Marsden Road/Ashgate Road, Eastbourne.
Work will be carried out in 2 phases under seperate road closures.
We will be returning later in the year to carry out surface dressing works. We’ll update signs on site with a date nearer the time.
Phase One - 6-8 April 2020
Etchingham/Marsden/Priory Road will be closed to through traffic between 8am and 5pm from Langney Rise to Langney Rise (see map). Traffic will be diverted via Langney Rise in both directions.
Phase Two - 14-17 April 2020
Ashgate Road and a section of Marsden Road will be closed to between 8am and 5pm (see map).
Information for local people
Vehicle access: The road will be closed to through traffic. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. If you do need vehicle access then please discuss this with the team on site. We will try to give access where we can but there may be long delays whilst we make the area safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Weather: If it rains, we might be delayed in our works. We will keep you updated with any changes via advance warning signs.
Parking: Please park your vehicle off road or in another location, otherwise your vehicle may be towed away. There will be ‘no parking’ signs and cones on site to advise where parking is restricted.
Buses: We apologise if our works cause disruption to your bus service. Please check with the bus company for any alterations to the service during this time.
Bin Collections: We have informed your local council about these works. Your local District or Borough Council will let you know if there are any changes to your collection.
