Little Ridge Avenue, Hastings - Carriageway Resurfacing
What works are taking place?
We will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing & a reconstruction patch on Little Ridge Avenue, Hastings.
When will these works start?
Work will start on Monday 3rd August 2020 and continue until Friday 28th August 2020.
Road closure information
Due to the nature of the works, Little Ridge Avenue will be closed to through traffic 24 hours a day from Harrow Lane to Hillside Road.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained but you may have to take the diversion. Vehicle access will be available from the following ends of the road on the following dates:Monday 3rd August – Harrow Lane
Tuesday 4th August - Harrow Lane
Wednesday 5th August – Harrow Lane
Thursday 6th August – Harrow Lane
Friday 7th August – Harrow Lane
Monday 10th August - Harrow Lane
Tuesday 11th August - Harrow Lane or Hillside for Beachwood Gardens
Wednesday 12th August - Harrow Lane or Hillside for locations up to Cockcrow Wood
Thursday 13th August – Harrow Lane
Friday 14th August – Harrow Lane or Hillside for locations up to Cockcrow Wood
Tuesday 18th August – Hillside
Wednesday 19th August – Hillside and or Harrow lane
Our team will be available on site to guide residents through the closure. Please do ask them if you have any concerns.
Traffic will be diverted via Harrow Lane, B2093 The Ridge, Hillside Road & vice versa.
Information for local people
Vehicle access: The road will be closed to through traffic. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. If you do need vehicle access then please discuss this with the team on site. We will try to give access where we can but there may be long delays whilst we make the area safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Weather: If it rains, we might be delayed in our works. We will keep you updated with any changes via advance warning signs.
Parking: Please park your vehicle off road or in another location, otherwise your vehicle may be towed away. There will be ‘no parking’ signs and cones on site to advise where parking is restricted.
Buses: We apologise if our works cause disruption to your bus service. Please check with the bus company for any alterations to the service during this time.
Bin Collections: We have informed your local council about these works. Your local District or Borough Council will let you know if there are any changes to your collection.
Covid-19: We are working strictly in accordance with the latest government and industry advice to ensure our workers and the public remain safe, including; planning works to minimise contact between workers, workers are travelling to site alone, working at a safe distance from each other, regular hand washing and use of hand sanitiser, and use of enhanced cleaning procedures for vehicles and equipment. Please be considerate of our workers carrying out these works during this difficult time; they have a critical role in keeping our network safe and ensuring easy passage for other essential workers.
