South Road, Plumpton Green - Carriageway Patching
What works are taking place?
We will be carrying out carriageway patching and iron works on South Road, Plumpton Green.
We will be returning later in the year to carry out surface dressing works. We’ll update signs on site with a date nearer the time.
When will these works start?
Work will start at 7am on Monday 6th April 2020 and continue until 7pm on Monday 20th April 2020.
Road closure information
South Road will be closed to through traffic each day between 7am and 7pm from Honeypot Lane to Hundred Acre Lane.
There will be no working over the Easter weekend (10-13 April). The road will be open as normal during this time.
Traffic will be diverted via Honeypot Lane, Mill Lane, A275 South St, A275 Chailey Green Rd, A275 East Grinstead Rd, Beggar’s Wood Rd, North Common Rd and vice versa.
Information for local people
Vehicle access: The road will be closed to through traffic. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. If you do need vehicle access then please discuss this with the team on site. We will try to give access where we can but there may be long delays whilst we make the area safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Weather: If it rains, we might be delayed in our works. We will keep you updated with any changes via advance warning signs.
Parking: Please park your vehicle off road or in another location, otherwise your vehicle may be towed away. There will be ‘no parking’ signs and cones on site to advise where parking is restricted.
Buses: We apologise if our works cause disruption to your bus service. Please check with the bus company for any alterations to the service during this time.
Bin Collections: We have informed your local council about these works. Your local District or Borough Council will let you know if there are any changes to your collection.
