Earls Down, Dallington - Carriageway Patching

What works are taking place?

We will be carrying out carriageway patching works on Earls Down, Dallington.

We will be returning to carry out surface dressing works later in the year. We will update the advanced warning signs on site with a date nearer the time.

When will these works start?

Work will start on Thursday 1st August 2019 and continue for 2 nights.

Road closure information

Earls Down will be closed to through traffic between 7pm and 6am from South Lane to Middle Lane.

Diversion

Traffic will be diverted via B2096 Battle Road, A271 Beechdown Wood, A295 Battle Road, A22 Hailsham Bypass, A267 New North Street, A265 Cross in Hand Road, B2096 Battle Road and vice versa.

Information for local people

Vehicle access: The road will be closed to through traffic. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. If you do need vehicle access then please discuss this with the team on site. We will try to give access where we can but there may be long delays whilst we make the area safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Weather: If it rains, we might be delayed in our works. We will keep you updated with any changes via advance warning signs.

Parking: Please park your vehicle off road or in another location, otherwise your vehicle may be towed away. There will be ‘no parking’ signs and cones on site to advise where parking is restricted.

Buses: We apologise if our works cause disruption to your bus service. Please check with the bus company for any alterations to the service during this time.
