Eastbourne Road, Halland - Carriageway Recycling & Resurfacing

Monday 4th March 2019 for 4 weeks

What works are taking place?

We will be carrying out carriageway recycling & resurfacing works on Eastbourne Road, Halland.

We will be using a repair method known as recycling. This is because as a busy road with high traffic volumes it needs a more extensive repair in order to keep it in a better condition for longer. This type of repair does take longer than standard resurfacing which is why the road will be closed for 4 weeks. Although we have the road closed at night to undertake our work safely, the nature of the work and our working finish times may vary each night depending weather and on what work is required as the conditions will vary along the length of the site

When will these works start?

Work will start on Monday 4th March 2019 and continue for 4 weeks.

Road closure information

Eastbourne Road will be closed to through traffic between 7pm & 6am from Knowle Lane to B2192.

These works are taking place at night due to how busy the road is during the day. This is to ease congestion and disruption.

Due to the type of work, access will be difficult between 7pm & 6am.

The road will reopen each morning at 6am with manually controlled temporary traffic lights in place. Traffic lights will be in place during the day to allow for the new material to cure before traffic can use it again.

Traffic will be diverted via B2192, B2102 and vice versa.
