Green Lane, Crowborough - Kerb Repairs & Carriageway Resurfacing

26th October - 3rd November & 9th/10th November 2019 - UPDATE returning 16 November

What works are taking place?

We will be carrying out kerb repairs and carriageway resurfacing works on Green Lane, Crowborough.

When will these works start?

Kerb repairs will start on Monday 7th October 2019 and continue until Friday 25th October 2019.

During this time, Green Lane will remain open with temporary traffic lights in place between 9am & 3.30pm. The lights will be removed outside of working hours.

Resurfacing works will start on Saturday 26th October 2019 and continue until Sunday 3rd November 2019.

We are returning to complete resurfacing works on 16 November for 2 days.

Road closure information

During the resurfacing, Green Lane will be closed to through traffic between 7am and 7pm from Eridge Road to Old Lane.


Traffic will be diverted via A26 Eridge Road, High Street, Crowborough Hill & vice versa.

Information for local people

Vehicle access: The road will be closed to through traffic. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. If you do need vehicle access then please discuss this with the team on site. We will try to give access where we can but there may be long delays whilst we make the area safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Weather: If it rains, we might be delayed in our works. We will keep you updated with any changes via advance warning signs.

Parking: There will be ‘no parking’ signs and cones on site to advise where parking is restricted.

Buses: We apologise if our works cause disruption to your bus service. Please check with the bus company for any alterations to the service during this time.

Bin Collections: We have informed your local council about these works. Your local District or Borough Council will let you know if there are any changes to your collection.
