What works are taking place?

We will be carrying out kerbing & carriageway resurfacing on B2100 Rotherfield Road, Rotherfield and a section of the B2101.

Road closure and traffic management information

Resurfacing 01-18 April
Road closed 8pm-6am. The road will be reopened during the day. However, there may be times when there are temporary traffic lights in place whilst we carry out additional work.

The kerbing works which were due to start 18/03 have been delayed and will now start on the 1st April alongside the resurfacing works. We hope that this will minimize disruption to road users.

Setts/Kerbing Works 23 April - 17 May
Road open. Work will be carried out under temporary traffic lights. Lights will be manually controlled during peak hours.


Traffic will be diverted via A26, A272, A267 and vice versa.

Information for local people

Vehicle access: The road will be closed to through traffic. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. If you do need vehicle access then please discuss this with the team on site. We will try to give access where we can but there may be long delays whilst we make the area safe. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Weather: If it rains, we might be delayed in our works. We will keep you updated with any changes via advance warning signs.

Parking: Please park your vehicle off road or in another location, otherwise your vehicle may be towed away. There will be ‘no parking’ signs and cones on site to advise where parking is restricted.

Buses: We apologise if our works cause disruption to your bus service. Please check with the bus company for any alterations to the service during this time.
