Requesting new signs

I would like to request a new traffic sign

Nationally we are being encouraged to de-clutter and remove existing street furniture that is no longer needed.

Over use of signs can dilute their effectiveness where they are really needed.  New signs are only provided where it's really necessary to ensure that there is not an overload of information on the driver.  East Sussex County Council's Traffic and Safety team assess and approve new signs on the highway.

Please
contact us if you would like a new traffic sign and we will send the request onto the Traffic and Safety team who will then respond to you directly.

I would like a concealed entrance sign

East Sussex Highways does not provide concealed entrance signs.  Concealed entrance signs can be placed on private land by home owners but they must not impersonate a highway sign.
